New research findings on building overheating and indoor air quality

The ARCC network partnered with CIBSE to publish a Special Issue of the BSER&T journal on Overheating and indoor air quality (Building Serv. Eng. Res. Technol. 2015, Vol. 36(2)).

Nine papers capture current research on the issues of overheating and indoor air quality in various building types, and demonstrate the importance of looking at the overall performance of a building in order to avoid the unintended consequences of pursuing energy efficiency goals.

Other themes include the future performance of buildings that have been designed or retrofitted to meet current requirements, and recommendations for addressing the issue of overheating and indoor air quality, both now and in the future.

Anastasia Mylona (ARCC network/CIBSE) and Professor Mike Davies (UCL) were guest editors.
